SURVEY: Have your say about your local Nature Reserve…

Some of the best sites for wildlife in North Kent are coming together to propose a new Partnership National Nature Reserve (NNR) located between Medway and Gravesend. At this stage, we don’t know exactly which areas will be part of the NNR but the organisations involved might include National Trust, Woodland Trust, Kent County Council, Plantlife and the West Kent Downs Countryside Trust.

National Nature Reserves are “exemplary, nationally important nature reserves, where nature conservation is the primary land use and significant other benefits may be provided for people and the environment”. This won’t stop people from using these places as they always have, but it is an exciting opportunity to celebrate our wildlife and make these places even better for nature and people.

As part of their planning for the area, Medway Swale Estuary Partnership want to know your thoughts about the area, and what you want to see in the future of these sites to help develop and improve the space for everyone.

To have your say, please complete the survey..
